For most people the gastrointestinal effects peak in the first one to three days after an injection and ease across the rest of the week. Each dose increase restarts that cycle for several days. They commonly lessen while you stay at a given dose, then return briefly at the next step up. Constipation and reflux can persist longer than nausea because they stem from slower stomach emptying rather than from adaptation.

The pattern is broadly similar because the mechanism is shared. Tirzepatide acts on a second receptor as well, and individual tolerance varies considerably, so the intensity is not identical between drugs or between people.

Commonly suggested measures are smaller portions, stopping at the first sign of fullness, avoiding high-fat meals on dose day and keeping fluids up. A prescriber may also slow your titration. None of this replaces their advice.
